Letters to Lebenshunger German Shepherds
Here are just a few of the many letters that we've
received about Lebenshunger German Shepherds.

Dear Kevin & Patti,
Words can't begin to describe how thankful I am that somehow you were able to bring this canine angel into my life. Blinkin, as we affectionately call her, has been the perfect ideal family member through and through. With each passing day she amazes me more and more with every single thing she does. Not only is the most friendly and sociable dog I have ever encountered, but she is a genius!!! I can remember the first day I brought her home from your farm.........
Its like she already knew how to sit on command. Did you teach her that or is she just a natural born genius? I feel like this email is such a small token
of every fiber in my being that is thankful for allowing this creature to walk around and bring me joy with each passing breath. I attached some pictures so you can see how she grew up.... Thank you so much and keep your website updated... I will undoubtedly come to you again when its time to get her a sister in a year or so.

Hello Kevin / Patty,
Just took a couple of new pictures of Justice. He’s a little over 8 months old now and doing very well. I attached a picture of him alone and a picture w/ his “Nanny”, my Uncle Emile (who will be 89 in less than a month!) Needless to say, you’ll see they are best buds. Uncle Emile still watches him 3 to 4 times per week and visits him every Sunday morning. He loves his Justice!!
We were at the Vet 2 days ago and he loves everyone there – they have a hard time examining him because he tries to kiss the Vet Tech and Vet as they are trying to give him his
examinations… LOL

Hi, I think many breeders like to know where there dogs are and how they are doing, so I wanted to share a few pictures of Sasha and a little information about her (born 11/30/2005 - Sire: Ingo vom Haus Schalk, Dam: Dharma vom Lebenshunger).
We acquired her several months ago after our Golden died. She is thriving in our home, learning to swim, making great friends with the black lab neighbor and has been going to Schutzhund training for about 6 weeks - is a wonderful tracker, good generally at obedience (I say generally because she is very obedient but LOVES to keep her nose on the ground rather than look up - we are working on this) and goes crazy with the fire hose toy, all the while wagging her tail 50 miles an hour.

We both work so she goes to "day care" during the day, goes everywhere we can take her and is great with the old folks at the facility where I volunteer. She is excellent with children in the neighborhood and her temperament is extremely stable and friendly.
Had her first meeting with the Easter Bunny at a fundraiser for a rescue the other day and I wanted to share a few pictures with you. She is the best, very happy and loved.
Take Care and enjoy the pictures.

| Dear
Patti and Kevin,
We're the proud parents
of Inga, the adorable little puppy, we brought home
last spring. Just as you predicted we would, we’re
writing to tell you that Inga is the best dog in the
world! She is our little princess. She is so much
fun, and we can’t believe we ever lived without her.
Inga has a wonderful
temperament. She is sweet and loves being around
babies, kids, adults, and other dogs (once she’s
established they’re friendly). She’s great with my
parents dogs (a female German Shepherd and a Golden
Retriever). We bring Inga to their house for “play
dates” (She’s like our child!). The three dogs
could run circles around the yard and play ball for
hours together! |

Inga has quite the
life! Her spring and summer consisted of swimming
in the pool, and hanging out at the beach. We think
she’s part duck. She loves swimming. Now that the
weather is getting cooler, we’re trying to cram in a
few last swims!
Along with being
extremely loved, Inga is probably the most
photographed dog ever to have lived. We thought
you’d like to see how beautiful she is so we have
included some pictures.

Notice the little ridge
on her nose. We call it her “Mohawk”. It really is
adorable. As silly as she looks in the pictures
with the cone on her head, we had to send it. She
was spayed a few weeks ago (when she turned 6
months) and kept biting at the area. The result a
silly cone that she did not appreciate! To make up
for it, we gave her a little vanilla ice cream each
night when we put the cream on her belly. She loved
that!
We can’t thank you both
enough for bringing little Inga (not so little
anymore, 53Lbs.) into our lives. We love her
lots! We hope all is going well for you both, and
we’ll keep in touch to let you know how she’s doing!

Kevin,
you're right--he was
worth waiting for!!
Right now he is
sleeping on my feet. It is quite surprising how
calm he is and how quickly he adjusts. But what
really amazed us is that after 3 hours on the road
he started crying and just needed a 2 minute
roadside potty-break to poop. Now how did he
figure all that out at just 8 weeks?! Cabot is a
good name for him as he is a confident and eager
explorer. And to top it all off he is just
gorgeous!!!
What else I really
appreciate, Patti, is how relaxed Cabot is. While
he is astonishingly alert and attentive to my
moves his body does not have any nervous tension
or that startle stiffness that a young animal in
new circumstances often exhibits.
I know all of that
doesn't come by accident. Thanks for your good
work!

Kevin and Patti,
I hope that this
message finds you well. It has been over a year
since I last sent you some updated pictures of
Bella. She is going to be turning 2 years old
this January - it is amazing how time flies. Like
I have told you before, she is the most wonderful
dog in the world. Not only is she beautiful she
has the sweetest disposition. I am constantly
complimented by strangers on what a sweet and
playful dog she is. Don't get me wrong, she can
also be extremely protective of me when she needs
to be.
I am just so
thankful for having gotten such a wonderful
companion and wanted to let you know how grateful
I am to you for providing me with the opportunity
to have such unconditional love in my life.
Attached are a
few pictures that I took today of Bella. She
is a bit wet in them, as she loves to jump in
puddles as she runs around.
Enjoy!! Have a
Happy Thanksgiving!
