What makes a Lebenshunger Puppy

Let’s face it, anyone can put two dogs together and get a litter of puppies, or simply import a dog with a foreign name that sounds impressive,  but what does it take to be a great breeder.

Great breeding doesn’t take place in a year, or two or three or even four. It takes time and dedication to the  your breed and craft. It means building on qualities and characteristics of a foundation of what you want the puppies of your kennel to be. This takes a great deal of study, money and most of all…..time!

We want you to know that we have made the investment in all three of these to bring you the best of the best, bred on the best of the best lines. Let me show you an example.

This is Germany’s VA1 Hobby Gletschtopf. He was born on January 8th, 1993 and was one of Germany’s most prodigious producers.

This is Hobby’s son, Ingo vom Haus Schalk, who was born on January 28, 1997 and whom I purchased as a two year old and imported from Germany in 1999.

And this is my current Bronn vom Lebenshunger who was born on January 8, 2015 and is a great grandson to Ingo vom Haus Schalk and a great, great grandson to Hobby Gletschertopf. Notice the birthdates of both Hobby and Bronn!!!

Great breeding, it’s an artform that is created by hard work,  dedication, and investment, and not just by a fancy web site or foreign sounding kennel name.

We know our German Shepherds. We know what to expect with each and every litter. We know the character, health, and beauty in every Lebenshunger puppy produced. That’s why we say, It’s not just a German Shepherd, it’s a Lebenshunger German Shepherd.

20 years ago we traveled to Germany and began the journey of breeding these wonderful dogs. What you have invested in is a culmination of dozens of trips across the Atlantic since then, studying and breeding to the finest German Shepherd bloodlines in all of Europe.

Continuing to breed at this level takes a great deal of time, effort, and money, and this is where you come in. Without your decision to purchase a puppy from our kennel, we would not be able to continue breeding these tremendous German Shepherds. We want you to know that we recognize and appreciate your support and the confidence that you have placed in us as your breeder.

Please be assured that we will always be here when you need us. We are committed to you and your puppy no matter what the age, no matter what the circumstances. We will always pick up the phone and we will always be here for you if and when the need arises…..

We are committed to your complete satisfaction!
